Having seen the Montpelier Joinery advertisement in The Sunday Times Magazine, our client really liked the look of the fluted detail woodwork design. After an initial brochure enquiry and complimentary site visit from one of our experienced nationwide designers, our client expressed his ideas and requirements. He had planned to covert his two rooms into one and add an Orangery extension onto the rooms to give additional depth, creating a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. Due to his low first floor windows he went ahead with the Traditional Orangery project our designer had suggested in his presentation. The lantern, large windows and folding doors, all included in the design, allow for maximum light and offer unspoilt views of the garden bringing the outdoors indoors!
The completed design not only provides a bright fresh look that works perfectly with the calm, neutral interiors, it also works in harmony with the exterior character of the existing white windows. Making the most of the vast, manicured garden by incorporating bi-folding doors opens up the beautiful dining and living areas right out into the garden, perfect for entertaining. The space has already proudly hosted a party to over 60 friends and family members, with many more on the calendar!
“I’m delighted with the outcome. Having lived with a rather unused reception room next to the kitchen, I decided to knock through and add on an Orangery to cover the full width of the two rooms, now one. The new modern kitchen, dining and seating area created has become the hub of the house”
